Tag Healthcare, the company who make and sell Medavir, have created several websites and blog posts which claim positive results with these products, while also discrediting valid treatments.

The company claim an A+ rating from the US Better Business Bureau (BBB) despite complaints from media and consumers: Bogus Balms Bureau- Business Props Up STD Scam Medavir.

Within weeks of the FDA crackdown Tag Healthcare released an identical product called Virista.
