Jayne you are extremely brave! I've had HSV2 for almost 2yrs and have never told a soul. I'd like to, but if they broke my trust I would be devastated.
But like you said, having it now you see it differently because you are more aware, and know it's not the big bad wolf I certainly thought it was. I feel incredible lucky if anything, it could have been something far more sinister.
Stay positive folks - MPJ

Hi All,
I'm out here in Aus an living with HSV2, I found out about a year ago and haven't been able to get it completely under control since, it would be great to make some contact with others living with HSV.

Hey fellow Aussies,
I'm 22 from SA. Have had hsv2 for 7mths now and sorta coping well now. I guess the worst is over and it's not as bad as it seemed at first it's gotta get better guys ! I'm sure there is plenty of us out there you know statistics says 1 in 8 have genital herpes. It aint all that bad i sometimes feel down and lose hope and think is anyone going to accept me how i am? Then i snap out of it and realise its not as bad as it seems i dont have much of a problem with it and it could have been worse. One day i will find mr. wonderful LOL
wish you all the best CYA

How'd you go with your resutls
Hi,
I'm from Melbourne too, I caught the virus about a year ago and have learnt to deal with it now but it was tough at the beginning, hopefully your results came back clear, but if not, it's not the end of the world, it's just a matter of adjusting your lifestyle to counteract it.

Hello Aussies - 47 M - Brisbane here - 10 years now with HSV2 - it hasn't changed me as a person - it has only made me realise there are a lot worse things in life I could have acquired. Have had relationships with non H as well as H positive - it all depends on their attitude - not the fact you have Herpes. Hope to chat with some of you soon.
Mick
