Here are two very informative books on the topic
Breast Milk - A Natural Immunization
Vaccination -Everything you should know about your child's jabs and more
by Joanna Karpassea Jones
I've got a few others on my bookshelf but theyre all in French
It's a bit late here, 9:30 and I can't respond as precisely as I'd wish right now. But I shall tomorrow.
I'm happy Uk girl that you've qualified your statment about non vacinated damaged kids. I was for a second thinking there is an entire generation of kids out there in a special home where you work. I was about to send word to the the mother magazine to have them look in on that.
Till tomorrow
C
Christy

Some other books and articles, I presume with a different point of view!
Vaccines in general:
The MMR/Autism controversy: ~~~
Christy, for every book or article supporting your point of view there will be another supporting a different point of view. In the end, as parents we have to decide who is credible and who to believe...
I think on this the only thing to do is agree to disagree... We each don't trust each others sources on this. However, we both agree that breastfeeding is wonderful so we still have plenty of common ground

Believe me Christy if you did the job i do, and saw the sights i see, then you would question what you write, we can all hide behind closed doors and give our point of view, but one day reality hits home.

It's a controversial issue. I guess it always depends on a person's own life experiences.
Personally, I have seen many kids that have been made autistic from immunizations... perfectly healthy toddlers and then as soon as they were immunized could not speak, were incoherent and diagnosed with autism - a condition that they have for life. Very sad when you are close to a parent that has had this happen.
Not that I am bias one way or another, but I see both sides of the argument and this aspect (although also debatable) adds to the equation.

At issue is do you believe the immunizations caused it, or do you think it was a timing fluke. Many affected parents definitely believe the MMR vaccine caused it.
It hasn't been ruled out that there could be a very small number of children who for some reason are extremely sensitive to the type of mercury that was in the old MMR vaccine.
However, even when MMR was discontinued in Japan in the early 90s, autism rates still increased - showing that it wasn't the vaccine that was causing the increase - it's something else. A lot of people believe the timing of the MMR vaccine happened to correspond with when developmentally regressive autism tends to occur.
Research is pointing to developmental differences in children who later become autistic - and these differences occur well before any immunizations happen. These studies are very promising and hopefully will shed more light on how and why autism occurs.
The good news is that newer versions of MMR vaccine are being made without thimerosal.
