I think chat is one of the best parts of this site. I go there most days. I've talked with lots of people and it's good to have the interaction.

We don't always talk about hs - food is a common topic lol!

Sometimes still have problems with it freezing - what improvements are you hoping to introduce?

Hey GntiNh,

Eventually I would like to see lots of improvements made, such as displaying who is online on the main page, better and easier features to communicate with each other, etc

But to start with, fixing the freezing and slowness is first on the list.

Keep the feedback coming as all improvements will be considered.

Chat is one of my favorite things about this site. Anytime I have a problem or a question (even if it's not h related) I know that I can go there and get support and answers. Everyone here cares so much about everyone else. We all have this one thing, this one virus, that bands us together and makes us care for each other so fiercely...

someone really need to monitor chat forum a little better. it's ridiculous that you sign up to these support sites and have to deal with nonsense on "live chat"... there shouldn't be bickering back and fourth between members about their relationship or them breaking up...blah blah blah.. (please refer to archive from lastnight .. 12/18/2009 from the hours of 10pm until)! Why is this happening on such a reputable "support" site??? It's so childish!

http://www.herpes-coldsores.com/forum-rules.htm read this before you start going off... there is no rule that says we have to just talk about herepes.... last time i checked we are all real people with real problems other then just having herpes. sometimes people need to talk about things other then hepreps.

I'm not going off armywife, I'm simply saying that some people do not want to be on a support/forum chat while others are bickering about childish things. If you and another member are not getting along, you shouldn't be using the chat forum to argue back and fourth. I understand that life doesn't revolve around herpes, of course it does NOT but live chat is for support and we should all be respecting eachother and providing support and not using foul lauguage and talking about nonsense during a live chat session. I'm sorry if I've offended you and I'm sorry that you do not understand where I'm coming from.

You are both right.

The bottom line is that we are all people with varying life situations - this forum is a place where we can communicate, make friends and be honest with each other and hopefully get a sense of empowerment about a skin disease that heaps of people have but rarely can talk about openly.

The Live Chat Room is just that, a place to chat. So naturally you will find all kinds of different conversations going on in here. Some might be crazy, fun, flirty, depressed, boring, childish, whatever... that is human conversation and that is great. The point is that we like to encourage open and free discussions about everything so we can actually get to know each other.

If someone is not following the forum rules (as armywife has linked to above) please feel free to report the problem to myself or one of our moderators for consideration, we are here to mediate if there is a conflict.

Of course, the chat room can also be used to get immediate support if you need it, but it is not limited to the subject of herpes... this is just a starting point and hopefully what comes out of it is a lot more.

I am relatively new here, I am soo curious to find a support group in the vancouver area of canada and am not having any success, anyone aware of a group?
