Tingling

Question for those with genital herpes:

Is the tingling consistent over time until you get an outbreak, or does it come and go? Also, do you feel tingling on your legs and buttocks?


For those with cold sores:

What does the tingling feel like before you get one? Is it a deep tingling, or superficial (very light tingling at the top of the skin)? Also, is it all around your mouth and does it move, or is it centered in one place?

I still tingle and i'm on supressive therpy.. When I first got H.. I tingled a lot on my butt and sometimes a shot of nerve pain down my leg... (rarely)

It's a light tingle.. like I need to scratch.. but...
I just up my lysine and I feel better

When I get cold sores on my lip (always on the bottom, usually in the exact same spot) it starts with a persistant itch, it doesn't go away. I have a scar on my bottom lip from childhood that itches sometimes (more lately than in the past) and there is a definite difference. Within a few hours of the persistant itch, I will have a blister.

I get cold sores: And its very localized, I don't know if tis quite surface but I can feel somethings up in a certain area, and applying pressure makes it more obvious. Its not the entire mouth, just the spot where the cold sore is about to pop up.
